Reminders for parents and caregivers
- Food: NO food, candy, or gum for 8 hours before your scheduled arrival time.
- Formula: NO formula for 6 hours before your scheduled arrival time.
- Breast milk: NO breast milk for 4 hours before your scheduled arrival time. Do not put any additives into the breast milk such as rice cereal.
- Clear liquids: NO clear liquids for 2 hours before your scheduled arrival time.
- Examples of clear liquids include: Water, apple juice, Sprite, Pedialyte, or Gatorade.
- Nothing that has pulp, dairy, milk, or fat in it is considered clear liquid.
- Chicken broth is not considered a clear liquid.
Illness: If your child develops any of these symptoms listed below please call (706) 721-5229 between the hours of 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, or email LWELSH1@augusta.edu anytime.
- Fever: Temperature of 100.4 (F) or higher
- Respiratory: Cough, runny nose
- Gastrointestinal: Vomiting or diarrhea
