Solid Organ Transplant


Melissa Laub, Pharm.D., BCPS

Melissa is a 2016 graduate of the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciennces. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy residency at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester, MN and her PG2 residency in solid organ transplantation at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC.   Dr. Laub joined the AU Pharmacy team in Augusta 2018 as a renal transplant pharmacist.  Her practice focuses on the comprehensive care of kidney and pancreas transplant recipients in the pre- and post-transplant settings.  Melissa's clinical interests include solid organ transplant, opportunistic infections, viral infections and international health.  She currently serves on the Executive Committee of the American Society of Transplantation Trainee and Young Faculty Community of Practice as a Member-at-Large and has served on various advisory groups and committees within the American Society of Health-system Pharmacists and American College of Clinical Pharmacy.



Rachel Stephens, Pharm.D.

Rachel received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy and completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock Arkansas then joined the health system as a population health pharmacist.  In October 2018, she was co-presenter for a session on Transitions of Care for the Arkansas Association of Health-System Pharmacists 52nd Annual Fall Seminar in Little Rock, AR. Rachel will be joining the AU Medical Center Pharmacy team in January and will be a preceptor-in-training in 2019.


COMING January 2019! Rachel will join our team as the second Renal Transplant Pharmacist.
