Hamer grew up in the rural town of Latta, South Carolina, where she graduated valedictorian of her class. She then followed in her brother’s footsteps and went to college at the University of South Carolina (Go gamecocks!) where she majored in Chemistry- graduating Summa cum Laude. After marrying her high school sweetheart, Kyle, Hamer went on to receive her medical degree also from the University of South Carolina. While in obgyn residency at the Medical College of Georgia, Hamer has given birth to two handsome boys, Graham (3 years) and Camden (5 months). In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and being on the water. Her special interests include infertility, PCOS, and abnormal uterine bleeding. Hamer currently resides in Martinez and will begin seeing patients as an MCG faculty member beginning mid July 2018.
