I am an Assistant Clinical Professor at Augusta University in the Department of Psychiatry. I was born and raised in India. I finished my medical degree from the country of China. Later I moved back to India where I worked in Psychiatry for more than a year before I decided to get my training from the United States. I finished my residency training in Psychiatry at Harlem Hospital Center affiliated with Columbia University in New York. Subsequently, I did my fellowship training in Geriatric Psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston. I am passionate about teaching, reinventing myself, providing quality care to my patients, and being involved in cutting-edge research. Additionally, I have three years of research experience at Yale University where I worked on biomarkers in psychiatry, and at Zucker Hillside Hospital where I worked on clinical trials involving adolescents with prodromal bipolar disorder symptoms.
