Dr. Healy grew up in the northeast and later moved to St. Simons Island, GA. She completed undergraduate education at Duke University with a major in biomedical engineering. She received her MD degree from Medical College of Georgia. She completed residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism at Ohio State University. She also obtained a Masters of Science at Ohio State. She worked in clinical practice for several years before joining faculty at Augusta University. Dr. Healy enjoys all aspects of general endocrinology including diabetes, thyroid disorders and thyroid cancer, calcium disorders, and adrenal/pituitary disorders. She has particular interests in diabetes management and diabetes technology.
