One a scale of 0 to 3, select the chance of dozing in the following situations.

Sitting and reading
Watching TV
Sitting inactive in a public place
As a passenger in a car for an hour without a break
Lying down to rest in the afternoon when circumstances permit
Sitting and talking to someone
Sitting quietly after a lunch without alcohol
In a car, while stopped for a few minutes in traffic

What does my score mean?

  • <10 = You are probably not suffering from excessive daytime sleepiness
  • 10+ = You are suffering from excessive daytime sleepiness and may need evaluation by a physician to determine the cause. Excessive daytime sleepiness is almost always the result of an underlying medical condition such as sleep apnea, narcolepsy, insomnia, restless legs syndrome or another sleep disorder that can be diagnosed and effectively treated.
