Joint Commission Certified Wound Program

Through our Joint Commission Certified Wound Program, we offer comprehensive treatment of patients needing complex wound care.  Upon admission into our Wound Care Program, our medical team will perform a comprehensive assessment to identify individual needs.  A treatment plan, following national standards of care protocols based on wound care research, is developed.  Our nationally certified Wound, Ostomy, Continence Specialist manages the treatment of wound care patients with daily oversight and guidance by a physician.

Wounds most commonly treated include:

  • Multiple stage II pressure ulcerations
  • Stage III-IV pressure ulcers
  • Diabetic foot ulcerations
  • Venous stasis or arterial insufficiency ulcerations
  • Traumatic Wounds
  • Wounds related to neuropathy, second to third degree burns (chemical or thermal) status post flap surgery, surgical site complications, necrotizing fasciitis, osteomyelitis
