Dr. SantaMaria joined Augusta Health on July 1, 2020 after 23 years of community practice in Middle and South Georgia where he be came one of the busiest urological stone surgeons in the USA. He has treated patients in large metropolitan centers, resort communities and rural settings. He has served on local, state and national committees. He eagerly brings his diverse life and clinical experiences to teach the urologist of the future as he cares for the patients of today.

Again, I am a new patient and Dr. Santamaria was very patient with me. He took the time to talk to me and listen to me. This included his assistant. She was very informative and very nice.

Provider never asked any questions or concerns I had about the upcoming procedure. He was in and out in 5 minutes at most. I could have stopped him to ask questions, but I did not. Not totally his fault.

While the Doc wasn't the expert, his knowledge was exceptional. He took the time to cover the CT scan with me to show me the details and help me understand what procedures are and aren't necessary. Good human being as he very easily could have set "there are no concerns and you are good" and sent me on my way
