I am a Board Certified Pediatric dentistry who has practiced and taught pediatric dentistry for over 30 years. I completed my dental school training at the University of Connecticut, followed by my pediatric dentistry residency at Eastman Dental Center in Rochester New York. After residency, I returned to Connecticut where I worked for a number of years in private practice before beginning my nearly 25-year career in academic dentistry. During this time, I have served as the graduate program director and department chair at the University of Texas at Houston and graduate program director at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Comprehensive pediatric dentistry with a special interest in children with special health care needs and those with a intellectual, developmental or craniofacial difference.
Areas of interest include treatment under sedation/general anesthesia and individuals with intellectual/developmental differences.
I have worked with Special Olympics and have served as a Clinical Director for their Special Smiles program for over 20 years.
For all of my patients my goal is to restore and help them maintain the very best oral health and to achieve this in the most efficient, caring and compassionate way possible.
