Marshall F. Newman, DMD

Dr. Marshall F. Newman, DMD is a Pediatric Craniomaxillofacial Surgeon and serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Newman graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina as Valedictorian and completed his postgraduate residency in Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery there as well. He then completed two separate fellowships, one for Advanced Craniomaxillofacial Surgery and Trauma at the Head and Neck Institute of Portland, OR. The second fellowship was completed at the renowned Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Pediatric Craniomaxillofacial Surgery, involving all aspects of care for patients with cleft and craniofacial differences.

He is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons (AACMFS). He has further obtained an ABOMS Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Pediatric Cleft/Craniofacial Surgery demonstrating the highest quality of care recognized by the specialty.

Dr. Newman is a reviewer for several journals and focuses his interests on pediatric cleft/craniofacial surgery. He serves on multiple committees within the AU Medical Center and has served his department as the Director for Undergraduate Education in Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery and Assistant Program Director for their residency program.
