About Marleny Y. Aquino Cabrera, MD

Dr. Aquino earned her medical degree at the Universidad Central Del Este in the Dominican Republic, where she graduated summa cum laude. Dr. Aquino trained in child neurology at Boston University Medical Center; and further specialized in pediatric epilepsy at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Aquino has a particular interest in the care of neurologic complex children and adolescents. She is especially passionate about caring for children with epilepsy. Dr. Aquino believes in excellent patient care regardless of race, ethnicity or social standing. Dr. Aquino is a junior member of the American Epilepsy Society. Dr. Aquino's interests outside of medicine include traveling, spending time with her family, and volunteering in the local and international community.

The doctor told us it wasn't "her day" to read EEG results which is what our entire appointment was for. Despite having the results in front of her, she would "peek" at them. Never introduced herself. What a complete waste when all I wanted was reassurance that my child was okay and healthy.
