Dr. Snoddy was raised in Atlanta, GA, where he attended The Westminster Schools. He received his undergraduate education from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, where he graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in biochemistry. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed his orthopedic surgery training at Vanderbilt University. While there, he was elected chief resident during his final year. Dr. Snoddy went on to complete a fellowship in hand, upper extremity, and microvascular surgery at Harvard where he trained at Brigham and Women's, Massachusetts General, and Boston Children's Hospitals. While there, Dr. Snoddy honed his treatment of complex disorders related to acute trauma, nerve injury, arthritis, joint replacement, athletic injury, arthroscopic surgery and congenital malformations.

    Upper extremity surgery, including shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand, for all ages of adults and children; including arthroscopic and joint replacement surgery for the wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Specialty training in congenital hand and pediatric upper extremity surgery and microvascular surgery.

    Orthopaedic biomechanics, bone and tendon healing, nerve injury, and post-operative pain management.
