  • Philosophy of Care

I strongly believe that surgical care should be tailored to meet the needs and wishes of the patient. While I specialize largely in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery, I still consider myself a general surgeon first and foremost. My clinical practice focuses largely on general surgery with a strong interest in benign disorders of the gallbladder (gallstones), hernias of the groin and the abdominal wall, esophageal disorders such as hiatal hernias and GERD, and surgery for morbid obesity. I also specialize in the repair of complex defects of the abdominal wall including multiply recurrent incisional hernias. I will attempt to address all problems in the least invasive way possible but also believe in providing the best possible operation for the individual patient and thus utilizes a combination of minimally invasive and open techniques in the care of my patients.
