Freddy J. Montero, MD

Dr. Montero grew up in Miami, FL, and attended Duke University obtaining a Bachelor of Art degree in History and African American Studies in 1997. After college, he joined Teach for America, and taught fourth grade in Jersey City, New Jersey. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2004 from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He completed The Brigham & Women's Hospital/Massachusetts General Hospital Integrated Residency Program in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2008. Dr. Montero went on to complete subspecialty training in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center in 2011. He joins us from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine where he served as interim director of the Maternal Fetal Medicine division.

    I strive to provide each one of my patients the highest quality of care. I am dedicated to practicing evidence based medicine to improve outcomes for pregnant women with high risk pregnancies. As a team, with clear communication and compassion, we will work together to keep both mom and baby as healthy as possible.
