About Elisa Jenks, BA, MSN-CNL, MSN-CNEP
Elisa grew up in Canton, GA and was one of five children. Being in a single parent home, she was determined to go to college whatever the cost. She paid her way through her undergrad career at the University of Georgia (UGA) where she studied Spanish and French. She graduated from UGA in May 2009 and then started an accelerated master's of nursing program at what was then called The Medical College of Georgia in the fall of that same year. Then after graduation in December 2010, she joined the Labor and Delivery (L&D) team as a registered nurse at what is now Augusta University Medical Center (AUMC). It is there where she found her niche. She continued working as an L&D nurse through getting her Master's Degree in the Community-Based Nurse-Midwifery Education Program at Frontier Nursing University. In August 2019, she began working in her role as a nurse midwife at AUMC where she continues to work. She is married to Nathan an RN at AU and has two small children.

Dr. Jenks this experience with her was one of the best I e ever had with a Dr. She made me feel so comfortable. She took her time with me, she listened to me and my concerns and got me help. She was gentle and did not brush off anything I said to her. I love love love this Dr
