About David Williams, MD
Dr. David Williams is assistant professor of Psychiatry and Health Behavior. He obtained his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine-Columbia and a BA in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University. He completed his internship and General Adult Psychiatry residency training at Augusta University and joined the faculty in 2014. His areas of clinical involvement include adult inpatient service, resident outpatient clinic, and correctional mental health. He is a problem-based learning facilitator for first and second year medical students and is involved in clinical education for students and residents.

We need more mental health care professionals at the clinic. While I understand and accept that this is a teaching hospital, I feel it is hard to get adequate continuous care when your assigned clinician will change every 6 to 12 months.

I've never had this issue with Dr Williams before. I was more upset with the lack of response after contacting him via the portal to find out what happened and the clinic's lack of assistance.
