Alison F. Ward, MD, assistant professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Department of Surgery. Alison attended Johns Hopkins University as an undergraduate and received her BA in anthropology with a minor in French literature. She received her medical degree from University of Maryland School of Medicine. From there she returned to her hometown of New York City and completed an integrated 4+3 general surgery/cardiothoracic surgery residency and a cardiothoracic surgery research fellowship at NYU Langone Health. She is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and Women in Thoracic Surgery.
