We are the only Pediatric Craniofacial Center in the area

The Craniofacial Center at Children’s Hospital of Georgia is the only center of our kind in Augusta’s River Region. We are staffed by a team of specially trained surgeons and healthcare professionals who deliver coordinated multidisciplinary care for cleft lip and palate and other craniofacial anomalies

Due to the complexity of the head and face area, a team approach is the best way to manage problems of the craniofacial skeleton and soft tissue. Our Craniofacial Center provides the best care possible using a family-centered approach that allows you to be part of your child’s care plan.

Pediatric Orthodontic Care

Some children might need orthodontic treatment, in addition to craniofacial surgery, to help guide the growth and development of the face.  Orthodontics treat children with cleft or craniofacial deformities to improve the look and function of their mouth and teeth using a long-term treatment plan that is done in phases of active treatment, interspersed with periods of retention or no treatment will be necessary.

Patients First is our philosophy

Patient-and-Family-Centered Care is key when it comes to our patients. We do everything to make your child’s stay with us as comfortable and positive an experience as possible.

When your child is having surgery with us, families have access to convenient housing locations such as Ronald McDonald House so parents can be close by for surgery and through recovery. Located conveniently across the street, Ronald McDonald House helps families be together throughout the entire clinical experience.
