Our Approach

The mission of Pain Management Practice Site is to offer effective state-of-the-art treatment options by practicing the Medical Center at Augusta University core philosophy of Patient Family Centered Care. Pain Management treats patients suffering from acute, chronic and cancer related pain problems.

If you suffer from acute or chronic pain, the Pain Management Center can help. Our staff of anesthesiologists, psychologists, nurses and physical therapists help adults relieve both acute and chronic pain through consultative and interventional services. We will see you quickly and work closely with you.

  • Acute pain services for hospitalized patients focus on acutely painful conditions such as surgery or trauma. Acute pain services are available 24/7.
  • Outpatient pain clinic for patients with chronic pain, including a Cancer Palliative Care Program.

We offer advanced pain management services, including:

  • Medication regimes, including complex neuromodulation medications
  • Radiofrequency applications
  • Fluoroscopically guided injections
  • Spinal cord stimulators
  • Psychological services
  • Physical therapy
  • Allow plenty of extra time to arrive for your appointment. Arriving 15 minutes before your first visit is always a good idea.
  • Please bring a complete list of your current medications and dosage with you to your appointment. For your convenience, a downloadable Medication Form is available here. Simply print the form, fill in your list of current medications and bring it with you to your appointment.
  • Bring your insurance card, Medicare or Medicaid cards.
  • Bring a photo ID.
  • Bring proof of residency.
  • Co-pays are expected at the time of appointment.
