The Emotional Support You and Your Family Need

If you or a member of your family has been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, multiple sclerosis or other neurological diseases, you may feel lost, alone and in need of emotional support. Augusta University sponsors the following support groups to allow you to gain strength and share your experiences with others who are walking the same path.

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, ALS, Support Group

2nd Thursday of each month

Parkinson's Disease

The CSRA Parkinson’s Disease Support Group meets in Augusta and Aiken. For more information call 706-364-1662.

  • Augusta: meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of the month, except December, at 3 p.m. in the St. John Towers Dining Room at 724 Greene Street in downtown Augusta.
  • Aiken: meetings are held on the 1st Thursday of the month at 1 p.m. in the Atrium of the W. James Rivers Education Center located at 223 South Aiken Blvd. SE in Aiken (on the East Pine Log Road side of Millbrook Baptist Church).
