Opened in 1998, the Children’s Hospital of Georgia is a 154-bed 220,000-square-foot facility. Our hospital is designed just for children and combines a theme of nature and technology to create a safe haven for children and their families. There are playrooms for children that provide toys and games and a Family Resource Library provides parents and siblings the latest information on diseases and treatments.
In the Augusta, GA and surrounding region, the pediatric specialists at Children’s Hospital of Georgia are dedicated to the health and wellness of newborns, infants, children, adolescents, teens and young adults. Many times, children need specialized clinical care – for both routine illnesses and more complex diseases and it is important to have a pediatric specialist that understands how illness can impact growth and development.
You can trust CHOG for advanced diagnostics, expert clinical treatment, recovery, rehabilitation and long term disease management of all childhood illnesses and conditions. Taking care of children is all we do – every aspect of care at CHOG is specific to children and their unique healthcare needs.

Whether you live in Augusta’s River Region or anywhere else in the southeast, the Children's Hospital of Georgia is easy to get to. We are located in downtown Augusta, Georgia off of Georgia’s main highway I-20.
Children’s Hospital of Georgia Parking Deck is located immediately in front of the building’s main entrance. Enter off Harper Street.
There is no charge for visitor parking in any of the decks or lots on campus. Augusta University Health is, however, not responsible for loss from or damage to vehicles. The visitors' deck offers convenient access to the main entrance.
At Augusta University, we pioneered patient- and family-centered care – knowing that when barriers are removed and a strong collaboration between healthcare providers, patients and families is in place – outcomes are improved. We treat your child like our own and take the responsibility of your child’s care very personally. We even provide designated Pediatric Evaluation Team services if ever you as a parent feel that a subtle change is your child’s behavior while in the hospital is a cause for concern.
