Digestive Health Services

Stomach aches. Bloating. Nausea. Swallowing disorders. Diarrhea. Constipation. If you are experiencing these symptoms over and over again, don’t wait. They may be a sign that you have a serious or even life-threatening digestive health condition that requires evaluation and treatment.

Part of the Augusta University Digestive Health Center, Digestive Health at Lake Oconee provides the same comprehensive, patient-centered care as our Augusta center but in a more convenient location for families in the Lake Oconee region.

Digestive Health at Lake Oconee specializes in:

  • General gastroenterology: Care for a wide variety of gastrointestinal disorders
  • Inflammatory bowel disease: Including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis
  • Motility issues: Muscle or nerve problems that stop or slow digestion

What You Can Expect

Digestive health issues can be caused by a number of factors. Because we are part of an academic medical center, our patients benefit from a broad range of advanced diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures, many of which are available nowhere else locally.

We go beyond the standard tests in order to help detect the earliest signs of gastrointestinal problems. Our focus is on early diagnosis and treatment (which can often prevent the need for surgery).

At our clinic, we also take the time to listen so we can fully understand your symptoms, find the right diagnosis and recommend the right treatment plan for you.

For additional testing and more complex treatments such as surgery, our patients also benefit from the experience and specialty care available at the Augusta University Digestive Health Center located on our main campus.
