Augusta University Health recently partnered with technology leader Philips to create the first business model of its kind in the U.S. Through this $300 million public/private partnership, patients at Augusta University Health benefit from the latest technology and innovations in radiological care, including new imaging systems, advanced patient monitoring, educational resources, and more.

Not only do we have one of the largest radiology departments in this region, but 100 percent of our board-certified radiologists specialize in specific areas of the body or specialized techniques. This means they are leaders in their field in detecting even the smallest problem on an image. You can also find many of our radiologists ranked among the nation’s best in America’s Top Doctors® and the Best Doctors in America®.

In 2012, Augusta University Health became the first health care facility in the Aiken-Augusta area to receive an American College of Radiology accreditation in all advanced radiology services.

Imaging services just for kids

Rooms that light up in different colors, bright murals, and other kid-friendly touches.  As part of the region’s only children’s hospital, our radiology staff knows how to “kid” around — we offer pediatric radiology services, designed with our youngest patients in mind, to ensure kids are comfortable and at ease during their imaging exams. 

Enhanced safety

As a teaching hospital, our residents and students learn the latest in radiological care. As a result, we take the lead on new protocols when it comes to safety. Our radiographers and radiologists use the minimum amount of radiation to perform a high-quality exam, every time.

We're here when you need us

Our outpatient radiology services offer flexible hours, including evenings and Saturdays, for your convenience. In the event of an emergency, you can rest assured that precious minutes won’t be wasted: Our radiology staff is present (not simply on call) in the hospital 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the event of a trauma, or other event, where imaging services are needed fast.
