Proper nutrition plays an important role in your recovery during and after treatment. Recommendations with regards to food and eating habits for cancer patients are often very different from common suggestions for healthy eating. In many cases, as a patient or survivor it can be confusing to try to determine what information is correct.
Our goals with nutrition therapy are to help you to:
- Manage nutrition-related side effects (changes in appetite, nausea/vomiting)
- Prevent and treat malnutrition
- Achieve and maintain optimal body weight
- Review nutrition support options (tube feeding management, nutritional supplements)
Our Registered Dietitians are available to answer questions and address concerns about managing your diet, weight, treatment side effects and use of nutrition supplements.
