Routine Labs and Injections
If you are coming to see one our physicians for the first time, you may be required to have labs drawn. This may occur before or after seeing the physician. Here, nurses will draw labs ordered by your physician.
If possible, schedule your lab appointment the day before your Cancer Center Clinic appointment. This will allow you to eliminate time delays due to waiting for the lab to complete your blood work reports.
If your labs are being done the day of your appointment, we ask that you arrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment time. This will help facilitate us getting you back into the examination room to see your physician on time.
Allow one hour if you want time for same day lab results.
Make appointments for routine labs and injections in the afternoon hours 1:00-3:30 p.m. when the lab is less crowded.
Avoid scheduling your routine lab appointments and injections during peak times like 8:00-11:00 a.m.
