Dr. Agochukwu is a board-certified, fellowship-trained, Spine specialist. After earning his bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University, he completed his medical degree at Indiana University. Dr. Agochukwu subsequently commissioned with the United States Army and completed residency at Madigan Army Medical Center with trauma training at Harborview Medical Center. Following residency, Dr. Agochukwu continued his military service at Ft. Bragg, NC. In addition to caring for military service members and their families, he also had the privilege of serving as the orthopaedic surgeon to the Army and Air Force elite special operation units. In 2012, Dr. Agochukwu deployed to Afghanistan providing orthopaedic care for US and allied troops in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. After his military service concluded, Dr. Agochukwu completed a Spinal Reconstructive Fellowship at Augusta University. He has made contributions to orthopaedic research authoring book chapters, as well as publishing articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Agochukwu’s clinical focus centers on minimally invasive spine surgery, disc replacement surgery, as well as deformity and complex spine revision surgery. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, as well as the North American Spine Society.
