Dr. Henley currently serves as an Associate Professor and Chief of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. She received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University in 1997 where she completed the U.S. Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps and was honored as the Distinguished Military Graduate. She subsequently completed four years in the U.S. Army as an Environmental Science Officer. Upon honorable discharge as an Army Captain, Dr. Henley completed her medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2005.

She then went on to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and subspecialty fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Dr. Henley’s professional and research interests include vaginal and robotic surgery for pelvic organ prolapse, intravesical Botox for overactive bladder, and sacroneuromodulation for urinary and bowel incontinence.

Dr. Henley is also an educator and leader in the Augusta University community. She mentors high school and medical students in the community and in June 2016 she was awarded the National Faculty Teaching Award from the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologist Council on Resident Education. Most recently she was selected as a member of the Leadership Augusta Class of 2018.
