At Children’s Hospital of Georgia pediatric practices, we want to be your “medical home” where you can feel confidence knowing we are there for you and your child every step of the way.

Our Approach

Your experience with our practices can start as early as pregnancy with a “meet and greet” appointment with one of our pediatricians.  As many of us are parents ourselves, we are on your same wave length, we understand your concerns and anxieties and we celebrate your joys and milestones.  We will always make an effort to schedule your child with the same provider each time you come, because great care comes from getting to know our patients and their families.

General pediatric and adolescent medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia has the area’s largest team of board-certified physicians. Our physicians are dedicated and committed to getting to the bottom of any problem your child may have.  We explain things in a way you can understand that will help you make informed choices about the care your child receives.

We provide quick and easy referrals to our teams of pediatric specialists located in the Medical Office Building or at our new Wheeler Road location. That means your child has access to all the resources of one of the state’s largest academic medical centers.

Our clinics offer:

  • Same day in-person appointments for sick and well patients
  • Telehealth appointments
  • An on-site lab and a full range of in-house diagnostic testing.
  • A skilled and caring nursing staff that includes Certified Pediatric Nurses who are also trained in Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
  • On-site support team that includes respiratory therapists, registered dietitians and certified asthma educators.
  • Medical interpreters for patients who don’t speak English
  • Child Life Specialists to help your child or teen understand and cope with treatment

Specialized care for teen patients

The teen years were once a no-man’s-land of medicine, with teens caught between pediatricians and adult physicians. At Children’s Hospital of Georgia our Adolescent Medicine Program has physicians with the expertise needed to understand the unique health and social needs of teens and young adults between the ages of 11-18 with diagnoses and care of general medical problems and those particular to teens including:

  • General health checks-up, immunizations and primary care for both healthy adolescents and those with chronic illnesses
  • Physician who specializes in Mind-body Medicine for chronic pain management
  • Adolescent gynecology and care for issues related to sexual health
  • Emotional health monitoring and referrals to psychologists and psychiatrists, when needed
