Weight loss surgery has come a long way. Today, most surgeries are laparoscopic,
also referred to as minimally invasive, performed through small incisions leading
to less complications, faster healing and less pain.
Studies have shown weight loss surgery to be a safe and effective way to lose weight,
keep it off, improve/reverse weight-related diseases and reap psychological, social
and economic benefits.
Dr. Hilton is the State Access to Care Representative for the state of Georgia. This means she, and our whole team, are actively involved
in advocating for our patients, and those interested in bariatric surgery, to be able
to access appropriate care and treatment. So, if you are looking for a bariatric center
