Overview

Residents in our ASHP-Accredited programs are appointed as graduate teaching assistants for the College of Pharmacy and earn graduate school credit for components of the residency, including clinical pharmacy, teaching and research activities. The University of Georgia awards a graduate certificate for successful completion of the residency program. Applicants for the AU Medical Center-University of Georgia College of Pharmacy residencies must be eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in Georgia at the start of the residency.

AU Medical Center and University of Georgia College of Pharmacy preceptors consistently demonstrate commitment to the pharmacy profession and strive to help you develop and market career skills in the changing health care environment.

Meet Our Preceptors

Meet Our Residents

Our residency preceptors are a tight-knit family that consists of both medical center employees and full time paid college faculty. One unique aspect is that the hospital pharmacists all have appointments as clinical faculty and/or preceptors at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy, and the full-time faculty also have an appointment as a pharmacist in the Medical Center Pharmacy Department.
