Dr. Daram obtained his medical school training from Osmania
Medical College in Hyderabad, India and completed his residency
training at St. Louis University School of Medicine. He served as a
medical director for the academic hospitalist program at St. Joseph
Hospital in Milwaukee, WI prior to completing his fellowship in
Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Mississippi
in Jackson, MS. He then completed a fellowship in Pancreato-
Biliary Disorders and Therapeutic Endoscopy at the Northwestern
University in Chicago, IL.
Dr. Daram is currently a key member of the Interventional
Gastroenterology service at the Medical College of
Georgia/Georgia Regents University. His endoscopic practice
includes ERCP, EUS, Enteral Stenting, EMR, RFA and Device
Assisted Enteroscopy. His clinical research interests are in the field
of endoscopic ultrasound, endoscopic outcomes and web-based
medical education and training including the use of videos in
imparting endoscopic training.
Dr. Daram has presented at various national and international
meetings including the ASGE Video Forum at DDW. He is
passionate about producing educational endoscopic videos and
DVDs. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles and book
chapters, in addition to scientific abstracts.
Dr. Daram is a member of the AGA academy of educators and also
serves on the Publications Committee of the ACG. He is a peer
reviewer for several internal medicine journals as well as for
Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Video GIE. He also serves on the
editorial board for the American Journal of Digestive Diseases.
When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Hima,
and son, Rishank.
