The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism provides the comprehensive evaluation, care, and treatment of hospitalized and ambulatory patients with problems involving endocrinology and metabolism including, but not limited to diabetes mellitus, metabolic bone diseases, adrenal, lipid, pituitary and thyroid disorders. Services include the Augusta University Diabetes Care Center staffed by physicians, diabetes educators and nutritionists who offer specialized clinics for diabetes management. The program is accredited by the American Diabetes Association. The Medicine Practice Site services are designed to follow patients through a variety of health care needs while providing patients and families with a Patient Family Centered Care philosophy.
