Expert Behavioral Health Care in Augusta, GA

Augusta University Behavioral Health & Psychiatry staff and physicians, have designed the practice to best meet the needs of their patients and families and are provided within a Patient Family Centered Care philosophy.  In support of its mission, outpatient services are divided into three clinical programs:

  • The Child and Adolescent Program:
    Treats children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral problems and developmental disorders.

  • Schizophrenia and Mood Disorders Program:
    Specializes in treating the most severe and debilitating forms of mental illness.

  • Health Behavior Program:
    This program focuses on delivering evidence-based psychotherapy interventions for commonly faced conditions, including depression, eating disorders, chronic pain, medical illnesses, post-traumatic stress disorder, and anxiety disorders such as social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and panic disorders.
